Jay becomes first US Bassist to perform in Suriname, South America!
March 28, 2015, a day that will go into the history books! Well maybe not the US History Books, but just that day will never be forgotten in the history of the band, Saints of Rebellion...Especially in the memory of a certain mohawked bassist! March 28th 2015, the day that a small mid level band from the USA rocked the largest crowd in attendance at the 2015 unkie's Open Air festival in Paramaribo, Suriname, South America. This amazing show was created by bassist (Disquiet), promoter, and all around awesome guy, Jerry Orie, with the assistance of his awesome fiance', Jennifer Lyn Baldwin (Love you, Jennifer!). and took a massive crew to put it all together in a 24 hour time period. "It reminded me of a travelling circus! Up in one day and gone the next!" says jay.
Unkies Open Air Festival is the only Rock & Metal festival in the country of Suriname. It's held on the property of Jerry's bar, "Unker Bunker Terras.
Jay says, "This was one of the most amazing shows of my life!" We didn't really know what was going on until our Chef, Omar, came to our table and stated how amazing this was for his country! That caught our attention, and we were waiting for the punchline. But then he said that we were the first US Rock band to play on their soil and it meant that great things were coming!" Great things are coming indeed!!
Saints of Rebellion is expecting to make a return trip to Suriname, for the Unkies Open Air 2016 line up!

Jay Hits the runway with Show Your Soft side's PAW-ject Runway and raises over $45k to prevent animal abuse!
The bars -- inside and outside -- at Canton's Bay Cafe were recently packed with folks for Pawject Runway, not your usual fashion show. Many of the tough guys who had been featured in the "Show Your Soft Side" anti-animal abuse ad campaign walked the runway with adoptable cats and dogs from BARCS.
As guests filled the spaces downstairs, upstairs the models were greeted by event co-chairs Melanie and Butch Hansen and Sande Riesett, "Show Your Soft Side" campaign creator. The models also took some time to get acquainted with their four-legged runway partners. Huge athletes and tatted-out rockers played with the pooches and cuddled the kitties.
"It melts my heart. It really does," said Jennifer Brause, BARCS executive director. "Because they look big and tough but then ... you see their kindness and how gentle they are."
A few steps away, Dan Root, professional MMA fighter and avowed cat lover, proved Brause's point as he rocked a tiny black-and-white kitten in his tattoo-covered arms.
"No one's taking the cat away," he growled protectively.

Jay releases his first full length album with King Belvedere!
This Amazing Album was a year in the making and features 2 songs written by Jay. The First Track, "You Will Never Break Me." is a tribute to all of the people Jay went to School with (St. Mary's) who chose to needlessly bully him for 8 years. "This Song kept me going when Things got really tough in the 7th grade. I'll never know why they chose to shit on my world or why none of my teachers did a fucking thing, but I do know that I wasn't going to let them break me...ever. This song isn't about forgiveness or turning the other cheek, it's about our God given right to stick up for ourselves. I'm not condoning violence in anyway. I didn't need it to beat these losers. But, if a bully is asking for it, I can't see why a person should have to sacrifice their sanity instead of taking a baseball bat to a bully's teeth. An eye for an eye, right?!"
The Second track jay wrote is the closing number on the self titled album, called "Endless Road". A piano based orchestration with violins, cellos, and upright bass, timpani, 12 string guitar, Electric Guitar, and 5 part harmonies featuring the Amazing Taylor Lee Hitaffer. "I wrote Endless Road after spending sometime on the road away from my wife. After a while, it felt like I would never get back into her arms. To me, the pinnacle moment in this song is the guitar solo by Alex T. White. Alex's solo is exactly what I wanted to keep the King Belvedere feel in this dream like song." Endless Road is just 1/10th of this amazing album, which is already being publicized as the "Must Have Album of 2013". If you like Rock Music, then you need to get the Newest Release from King Belvedere!!
